Beijing Shows Concern Over India’s Frequent Probes Into Chinese Companies

Beijing has criticised New Delhi for launching “frequent investigations” into Chinese companies operating in India, after financial authorities raided Chinese mobile phonemaker Vivo over money-laundering allegations.

The raid was New Delhi’s latest action against a Chinese-owned company, after authorities accused Xiaomi, another device maker, of unlawfully remitting more than $700mn abroad in May. Xiaomi denied wrongdoing.
